Working to restore the former Lynton & Barnstaple Railway in the Yeo Valley

The recently formed Barnstaple & Yeo Valley Railway Trust is launching an exciting initiative to reopen a new section of the legendary Lynton & Barnstaple narrow-gauge railway in the Yeo Valley. Working in close co-operation with the long-established Lynton & Barnstaple Railway Trust at Woody Bay Station, it seeks to complement and broaden our shared endeavours, ultimately to reopen the whole route as a single operation. Our aim is now to start rebuilding the railway from its southern end as well.

This website explains what has already been done and what we are currently doing, and how you can get involved in this dynamic project.
